The Huntsville Community Choir was first formed in 1989. It continued as a community group until 2003 when it was registered as a non-profit Ontario charitable organization.
The choir ranges in membership from 35 – 70 members and is open to any individual who likes to sing and is seeking to increase their knowledge of music and voice.
It is open to any individual from high school age on up who enjoys choral singing in an SATB choir. No auditions are required.
Choir rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 pm at Trinity United Church, 33 Main St. East, Huntsville.
The choir performs a wide variety of music including Sacred, Secular, Gospel, Show tunes, Celtic, Irish and our annual Christmas concert. The choir performs two to three concerts per season.
Our rehearsals start September 12, 2023 and continue through April 2024.
Membership fees are $200.00 per person per year, which is eligible for a charitable tax receipt. A $50 refundable music deposit is collected each year and used only to reimburse the Choir music not returned by a member.
