Local Talent Fiona Easy Easily Wins 2006 Huntsville Community Choir Scholarship
HUNTSVILLE, ON — The Huntsville Community Choir has officially named Huntsville High School (HHS) standout Fiona Easy as the recipient of its 2006 youth scholarship. This annual award recognizes exceptional musical talent, academic dedication, and artistic leadership within the local community.
Fiona, who also received the Huntsville High School Vocal Award this year, has been a driving force in the local arts scene throughout her high school career.
A Legacy of Musical Excellence
Fiona’s musical journey includes four years of intensive music classes at Huntsville High School, where she expanded her skills across multiple disciplines by participating in the concert band, jazz band, and vocal music programs.
Her versatile vocal talents and stage presence have made her a familiar face to local theatre audiences. Fiona has performed in numerous town and high school musical productions, including:

The SpongeBob Musical (her most recent performance)
Beyond the musical theatre stage, Fiona showcased her dynamic vocal range and leadership as the frontwoman and lead singer for the local rock band Garden of Gray.

Future Outlook: From Harmony to History
While music remains a core part of her identity, Fiona is preparing to channel her academic passion into a new field this fall. She will be attending Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario, to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Her long-term academic plan includes transitioning into a Master’s program.
