ADDYSON WING RECEIVES 2025 VOCAL AWARD
The Huntsville Community Choir is proud to announce Addyson Wing as the recipient of the 2025 Vocal Award, an annual honor recognizing a graduating senior from Huntsville High School who has demonstrated exceptional vocal talent and dedication to music.
Selected by the school’s music department, Addyson stood out for her outstanding vocal performances, artistic growth, and commitment to the school’s music program. Her passion for music has made a lasting impression on both her peers and the broader community.
“I am extremely grateful to the community choir for giving me this award,” Addyson shared. “Music has always been a part of my life since a young age, starting with piano lessons, moving into instrumental music, and finally finding my strength in vocal music. Being in music and vocal music specifically has helped me to step outside of my comfort zone while also being able to show another side of me that some people have never seen. I originally got into vocal music through my love for musical theatre and after that I haven't stopped.”
Addyson’s academic achievements at graduation include being named an Ontario Scholar, Honour Roll, the Achievement of Excellence in Vocal Music and obtaining an Extended French Certificate.
This fall, she will begin her studies at Carleton University in the Honours program for Global and International Studies with a focus in Global Politics. She also hopes to continue her vocal music education while away at school.
